THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on Friday has promised to reward citizens that provide credible information on illegal activities of vote-buying during the election.

The commission urged the general public to contact the EFCC for immediate response in matters relating to election vote-buying through its emergency hotlines recently released in over 10 states capitals across the country.

The commission confirmed that any informant with credible information that could help counter vote-buying or related activities in accordance with the Whistleblowing Policy of the Federal Government would be rewarded.

The EFCC also promised that anyone caught perpetuating act that could hinder the smooth conduct of the election process will be arrested and subsequently prosecuted according to the laid down laws guiding the election.
