We’ll run a just, truthful and transparent government, says Ogun governor-elect

“WE will lead a just, equitable and a transparent administration,” the Governor-Elect of Ogun State, Mr Dapo Abiodun, has said on Sunday.

Abiodun, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had polled 241,670 votes to beat Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who got 222,153 votes.

The governor-elect made the promise during Sunday Service at an interdenominational thanksgiving service held at Saint James Anglican Church, his hometown in Iperu Remo area of the state.

Abiodun emerged winner of the March 9 governorship election in the state despite apathy of his predecessor, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who had supported Akinlade of the APM.

Few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner, he called on other contestants to join hands with him to build the state for the benefit of the people.
