VETERAN Nollywood actor, Adedeji Aderemi, also known as Olofa Ina, has died at the age of 73.
Another actor, Saidi Balogun, announced this in the late hours of Thursday, January 4, via his Instagram handle.
“Goodnight legend Chief Deji Akinremi (Olofa Ina) RIP”, he captioned the post.
Late Aderemi was an actor, director, and scriptwriter best known for his roles in Yoruba movies.
Here are what to know about the late actor:
- He attended St.Peters Anglican Primary School and Baptist Secondary Modern School, Ode-Omu, between 1957 and 1965.
- He was a carpenter trainer at Olukorede Furniture Industry between 1965 and 1970.
- Between 1970 and 1977, he worked at the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ibadan, Oyo state, as a Grade II officer.
- In 1972, he formed a theatre group with his friends, and they named it “Olofa Ina Theatre Group”.
- He started his major acting career in 1980.
- His debut film was Ejo Ngboro by Tunbosun Odunsi. He also featured in other epic Yoruba movies, including Ayanmo by Hubert Ogunde, Ehin Oku by Ade Love, Mosebolatan by Alawada Films, and Agbaarin by Jimoh Ali.
