THE 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army has recovered 1,671 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) in an apartment in the Olodi-Apapa area of Lagos State.
The Brigade Commander, Isang Akpaumontia, disclosed this on Thursdsay, March 9.
He said three persons found in the apartment have been arrested.
While disclosing that the arrest and recovery were made following a tip-off, Akpaumontia noted that the prime suspect was still at large.
In addition to the PVCs, Akpaumontia said other dangerous items, including ballot papers, cutlasses, and Indian hemp were also recovered.
He noted that the majority of the recovered PVCs had 2022 as the registration year, while some had 2011, 2012, and 2021. The voter cards belong to residents of Lagos State, he added.
The brigade spokesperson stated that the suspects and exhibits would be handed over to the Army’s immediate headquarters for necessary action.
