The Nigerian army has announced the capture of suspected killer of Mohammed Shuwa, a retired Major General, believed to have been killed by Boko Haram gunmen in his home in Maiduguri, Borno State, on November 2, 2012.
Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, in a statement on Monday said the suspected killer was arrested in Kano by officials of the Nigerian military intelligence.
Shuwa was the first General Officer Commanding of the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division, which he also commanded during the Nigerian Civil War.
The army also said the suspect would be paraded in Kano but did not say when.
