God Revealed I Will Be Nigerian President – Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State said over the weekend that God had revealed to him that he would be number one citizen of Nigeria.

Governor Fayose, however, did not provide further information about how he would get there or when it would happen.

“How I will get there don’t ask me,” he said.

“Have you noticed that every attempt to impeach me has failed?” the governor wondered, buttressing his point.

Fayose, who was recently nominated as chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors’ Forum, has said that the party will soon bounce back from its political woes.

The governor also alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has again frozen his personal accounts with Zenith Bank Plc.

According to the governor, the bank refused to honour his cheque on Friday, citing directives from the anti-corruption agency.

Just three days ago, the Ado Ekiti Federal High Court, struck a stay of execution motion filed by the EFCC regarding the judgment which ordered the unfreezing of the governor’s accounts.

Justice Taiwo Taiwo held that “once a judgment is being executed, you cannot stay the execution again.”

“This is the impunity we are condemning. The bank and the EFCC got all the judgments of the court, but the agency still harassed the bank to act against the law,” Governor Fayose stated.

“If I sent somebody with a cheque, they could give excuse but I was there myself; acts of impunity such as this cannot continue. We will challenge them.”

Speaking further on his new position as PDP Governors Forum chairman, Fayose said he would strive to reposition the party.

“The PDP is only a sleeping giant and when it wakes up, those mocking us now will quake. Charlatans who are one leg in, one leg out and causing confusion in the party would have to decide where to belong,” he stated.
