Festus Keyamo, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has been appointed Director of Strategic Communications, for President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 reelection campaign.

Keyamo made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“I will be making a formal statement on this much later,” he tweeted.

Keyamo, 48, hails from Ugheli, Delta State, and graduated from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma Edo State in 1992. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993 and was elevated to the rank of a senior advocate in 2017.

In his capacity as spokesman for the Buhari reelection, he is expected to ensure that his principal wins the APC presidential ticket and, subsequently, the general election in 2019.
