Nnamdi Kanu Dissociates Self From Radio Biafra America

By Yekeen Nurudeen

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has dissociated himself and his group from a new renegade radio channel floated in America.

Kanu said Radio Biafra broadcasting from London is  the officially sanctioned channel of communication of the IPOB, through which every information concerning the affairs of the group are disseminated.

Reacting to the activities of the purported America based Radio Biafra, the IPOB leader in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by his lead Counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor disclosed that Radio Biafra, London is duly registered under the United Kingdom Regulatory Laws, fully licensed, and accordingly censored under the relevant regulatory frame work.

The statement added that Nnamdi Kanu remains the founder, and Director of Radio Biafra London and accordingly Deputized by Mazi Uche Mefor.

This was as he urged all IPOB members to, irrespective of their  areas of residence, observe the peaceful sitting at home order scheduled to be held on May 30, 2017.

The day, he explained is set aside to honour Biafra fallen heroes massacred during 1967 to 1970 Biafra genocidal war.

“Rights of Indigenous People of Biafra to self determination is not only inalienable but unquestionable. Sit at home order must be peaceful as it is sacrosanct. People are directed to remain law abiding and use the opportunity to pray for the repose of the soul of the Biafra fallen heroes,” he said.

The statement reads in part: “It is on the face of the ongoing misconception and rumors making the rounds regarding the status of a new renegade channel floated in America that it has become necessary to issue this official clarification with the blessing of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra.
