PDP’s spokesperson, Buba Galadima ‘kidnapped’

THE spokesman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Buba Galadima, has been “kidnapped by masked security operatives.”

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, made this disclosure on Sunday on his Twitter handle.

“Nigerians and the world over should know this— Alhaji Buba Galadima has just been kidnapped by masked security operatives, his whereabouts is unknown.

“Buhari/APC are hell-bent on destroying our hard earned democracy. We will never be cowed, the will of the people MUST prevail,” Ologbodiyan tweeted.

Galadima is one of the most vocal critics of the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari.

Hours earlier, the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council has called for the arrest of Galadima.

The spokesman of the campaign council, Festus Keyamo, alleged Galadima of posting a video announcingAtiku Abubakar as the winner of the presidential election.

“We, therefore call for the immediate arrest, interrogation, and prosecution of Alhaji Buba Galadima in this regard.”

In a press statement also signed by Ologbodiyan, he called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to declare Atiku winner now, in spite of the electoral law that gives only the INEC the mandate to announce the election results.

The ICIR called Mr. Ologbodiyan on phone an hour after his Twitter post, but his number has been switched off.
