The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has announced that he has finally received the list of ministers to work in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Earlier, Senator Dino Melaye, chairman, Senate ad-hoc committee on publicity, told correspondents at the end of plenary that the red chamber was still waiting for the ministerial list from the President.
But at about 5:20pm on Wednesday evening, Saraki announced via his official twitter account that, “I can now confirm that I just received #Thelist of Ministerial nominees”.
Buhari’s Chief of Staff Abba Kyari and Special Adviser on National Assembly Affairs (Senate), Ita Enang, delivered the ministerial list in a sealed brown envelop to the Senate President.
The Nigerian President had fulfilled it promise to submit the list by the end of September, but since it came after plenary, it’s content could not be read.
The names of nominees on the list is still not known.
