JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede who disclosed this in Abuja at a press briefing said the results were being withheld for further investigations.

According to Oloyede, some candidates actually fell for the trick, paying huge sums of money to purchase the question papers, only to be disappointed on the examination day.

At least 57,000 candidates sat for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, which kicked off on Saturday in 642 centres across the country.

Following the closure of registration for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, on Friday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has urged candidates to crosscheck their registration details and make necessary corrections before midnight Saturday, April 6.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that over 1.5 million candidates have so far registered for the annual matriculation examination.
