The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, has approved the deployment of additional twenty five thousand (25,000) Police personnel to Edo State to ensure safety of life and property before, during and after this Saturday's governorship election.
Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, is still under investigation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said.
The Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Sam Olumekun, has assured that the upcoming governorship election in the state would not be declared inconclusive.
