The former governor had been sentenced to 13 years imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to offences relating to conspiracy to launder funds from the state
The Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences, ICPC, has said that he was upset by the celebration and rousy welcome accorded the former governor of Delta State, James Ibori who returned to Nigeria after serving jail term in United Kingdom over corruption saying "I feel very upset".
The office of the Attorney General of the Federation, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, PACAC, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, are currently working together to review the Corruption charges against former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, who arrived Nigeria on Saturday after serving jail term in the United Kingdom for money laundering.
