Abdullahi called on citizens of the state who longed to return to their homes to be careful and not live in areas that are not well secured by the army as the insurgents now kidnap people and force them into becoming jihadists.
Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State joined thousands of other Muslim faithful to pray in Konduga, a town recently reclaimed from Boko Haram terrorists. Konduga is 40 kilometres southeast of Maiduguri.
