The state Police spokesman, Victor Isuku, said in a statement that a female suicide bomber, detonated an explosive strapped on her at a military checkpoint just in front of an internally displaced persons camp.
The attack occurred at Mandarari ward in Konduga Local Government Area of the state on Thursday night, claiming the lives of seven people, including the two attackers.
Following the twin bomb attack on the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday, another suicide bombing incident was intercepted in a village behind the University.
