These deaths are too much… Twitter reactions over Lagos tanker fire incident

NINE persons have been confirmed dead and 54 vehicles destroyed in a fire incident caused by a fallen petrol tanker along  Otedola bridge, Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday.

Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Bisi Kazeem, said the petrol tanker lost control as a result of break failure.

This is coming barely five days after over 120 lives were lost to a herdsmen attack in Plateau State on Saturday, June 22.

Watch a video clip of the fire incident as shared by a twitter user @henroo212:

Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State has already visited the scene of the incident and commiserated with families of the affected victims.

Meanwhile, many who reacted to the incident on twitter lamented the many deaths being recorded in Nigeria and prayed to God to have mercy on the country.
