Jonathan Replaces PEF, NCDMB Secretaries

President Goodluck Jonathan has relieved the executive secretary of the Petroleum Equalization Fund, PEF, Adefunke Kasali of her appointment.

He has subsequently approved the appointment of Asabe Asmau Ahmed as the executive secretary of the agency.

Ahmed, who is currently the Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, is expected to assume duty immediately. She takes over from Kasali who had been the head of PEF since 2007.

The new helmsman hails from Niger State and holds a Bachelors degree from the Ahmadu Bello University. She also has a Masters degree from the Nigerian Defence Academy.

She is expected to put her years of experience in public service to good use in re-engineering, repositioning and re-invigorating the PEF.

Jonathan also approved the appointment of Denzil Amagbe Kentebe as the executive secretary of the Nigerian Content Management Development Board, NCMDB.

Kentebe, an architect with years of experience in strategic planning and policy management, takes over from Ernest Nwapa who had been head of the agency since April 2010.
