LP agents missing in polling units in Ekiti North

AGENTS of the Labour Party (LP) are absent from several polling units in Ekiti North Federal Constituency of Ekiti State in the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The ICIR observed that LP agents were not seen in polling units visited in Oye, Ikole, and Ido Local Government Areas at the time of filing the report.

In contrast, agents from other political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), were present in all the polling units and wards visited.

Despite the absence of LP agents, the electoral process was so far peaceful, with voters turning out in large numbers to cast their ballots.

Some of the electorates interviewed by The ICIR commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the hitch-free process in their respective polling units.
