Three suspected terrorists were on Wednesday morning killed in Saint-Denis, France as police raided a building in connection with last Friday’s deadly attacks. The dead included a woman who blew up herself using explosive belt.

Five policemen were said to have been injured during the raid, which is turning into a massive manhunt for Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the 27-year-old Belgian suspected mastermind of the attacks.

Seven people have so far been arrested, including the landlord of the building, with security agents believed to have got there just in time to possibly prevent other attacks.

According to French Interior Minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, leads from phones discovered on Tuesday led to the raid on two apartments on the same street.

Cazaneuve said the building had been under surveillance since Tuesday following the discovery of the phones.

Abaaoud, who is of Moroccan descent and described as extremely dangerous, is close to wanted ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and was targeted by French coalition in Syria even before the Friday attacks.

Just about 12 hours ago, Abaaoud was thought to be in Syria but with the on-going manhunt in France, it is emerging that he might have been in the country all the while.
