As part of the massive management shake up in the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, on Friday approved the retirement of 34 senior officers.
The affected retired senior officers include five Deputy Comptrollers-General as well as three Assistant Comptrollers-General.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Wale Adeniyi, said the development was part of the re-organisation in the service and that the retirement of the affected officers was with immediate effect.
“As part of the ongoing re-organisation in Nigeria Customs Service, 34 Senior Officers have been retired from Service with immediate effect,” he stated.
