It was a mixture of joy and sadness for the Nigerian troops on clearance operations in the Northeast on Friday Morning when the troops stormed Guro Gongon village and environs to rout out remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating therein.
The Nigerian Troops engaged in fighting and clearance patrol, Codenamed “Operation TIGER CLAW” has rescued 38 women and 42 children in Gangere village, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
A truck believed to be carrying fuel supply to a Boko Haram around Damboa was intercepted by the Nigerian Army on Tuesday.
Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, in a statement said a truck carrying 25 jerry cans of premium motor spirit and other goods cleverly hidden was intercepted around 8:00am at a checkpoint on the outskirts of the state capital Maiduguri
OPERATION GAMA AIKI, The Air Component of the ongoing clearance operations against Boko Haram Terrorists, also called OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE, recorded major successes on Thursday in its air campaign against the insurgents as two fighter aircraft struck a terrorists’ location at Northern Borno state.
