National Assembly Slams DSS Over Arrest Of Judges
The Nigerian Senate and the House of Representatives have come down heavily on the Department of State Security, DSS, for the arrest of some of the countries senior Judges in the early hours of Saturday, October 8. The judges were however released on bail yesterday.
DSS Releases Arrested Judges
The Department of State Security, DSS, has released the seven judges who were arrested over the weekend on corruption allegation.
Group Urges DSS To Hand Over Arrested Judges To Judicial Council
A group known as Partners West Africa – Nigeria, has called on the DSS to release the judges arrested in raids across the country on Saturday, and hand over findings of its investigations to the National Judicial Council,NJC, which is the appropriate authority to deal with such issues.

Chief Justice Laments Raid On Judges
Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Mahmud Muhammed has described the raids carried out by Department of State Service, DSS, on the homes of Judges over the weekend as “saddening and deeply regrettable.”
