A bill seeking to make it mandatory for a president to nominate ministers for confirmation by the Senate within 30 days of being sworn in has passed second reading on Thursdays at the House of Representatives.
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh Jimoh, has resigned from his position.
His resignation letter was read on the floor of the House by the Deputy Speaker, Ali Akuh, who commended the Speaker’s decision, saying it is in the best interest of the state.
