Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has maintained his stance that tobacco companies should pay more in taxes as a way of discouraging the habit of smoking by majority of Nigerians.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has lamented inadequate information about the dangers of smoking “which has made it difficult to convince many to quit the dangerous habit.”
Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole says government will adopt all legal and administrative measures to ensure effective implementation of the National Tobacco Control Act.
