President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the deployment of four of the newly-appointed ambassadors designate to their respective missions.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the presidency on Friday.
The ambassadors-designate include Tijjani Bande from Kebbi State, who has been posted as Ambassador/Representative to the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations Headquarters in New York; Itegboje Sunday Samson from Edo State, deployed as Ambassador/Deputy Representative, Permanent Mission of Nigeria to United Nations Headquarters.
Others are Kadiri Ayinla Audu from Kwara State, who becomes the Ambassador/Representative to the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN Offices in Geneva, Switzerland and Bankole A. Adeoye, Ogun State, who resume as the Ambassador/Representative to the Embassy of Nigeria/Permanent Mission to African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
A five-day induction course for the newly approved ambassadors designate commenced on Thursday in Abuja, aimed getting them acquainted with their responsibilities in their respective missions.

An official of the Ministry of foreign affairs said the other ambassadors will be deployed as soon as Nigeria secures the consent of the countries concerned.
The statement noted that the deployments are with immediate effect adding that President Buhari wishes the new Ambassadors/Representatives the very best in their assignments.
