FORMER governor of Ekiti State and the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Segun Oni has expressed concerns over vote-buying in some polling centres in the ongoing governorship election.
Oni, who spoke to some journalists after casting his ballot at his polling Unit-006-Ifaki II, Ifaki Ekiti, said he has received information about vote-buying in Oye Ekiti and other parts of the state.

He, however, expressed optimism that security agencies will swing into action and curtail the situation.
Meanwhile, the SDP candidate is banking on the women population in the state to shore up his voting strength.
Our correspondent gathered that women were predominant in Oni’s polling unit – 006, Ifaki II, Ifaki Ekiti State.
They expressed their desire to vote in favour of Oni.
