JAMLAB, a project of Wits Journalism, is offering its Jamlab Accelerator Programme (JAP) for individuals with startups who are passionate about fixing what isn’t working in sub-Saharan African media.
The JAP is a six-month hothouse for participants, offering them a unique opportunity to fast-track their initiatives.
The program provides the tools, facilities, contacts and support necessary to convert ideas and ambitions into a commercially viable venture or product.
To apply, journalists must write a short pitch setting out their ideas for a new journalism startup or describing their existing venture and ideas for growing and developing it further.
Applications are welcome from all countries across Africa.
This accelerator program will run from June to November.
Creative journalists, media innovators and entrepreneurs with startups ready to reshape media and journalism in sub-Saharan Africa can apply.
The submission of application deadline is May 19, 2023. Interested applicants can apply here.
