Kidnap Scare Cause Panic In Nyanya

There was pandemonium this morning in Nyanya following reports of the abduction of some school children by suspected Boko Haram members.

It would be recalled that Nyanya is the same place where two bomb explosions claimed the lives of more than 200 hundred persons over the last one month, hence the apprehension the rumour created.

Parents quickly trooped to schools in Nyanya and surrounding communities to withdraw their wards after the rumour of the kidnap spread.

However, the police in Nyanya denied to our reporter that there was any such kidnap.

It was gathered that what happened was that a school bus belonging to Divine Kiddies Academy, Nyanya was snatched by armed robbers.

There were no school children in the bus as at the time it was snatched.

Following the incident, the driver is said to have reported the matter at the Nyanya Police station.

Until the time of filling this report, parents were still seen making desperate efforts to withdraw their wards from various schools in the area.
