
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, is calling for blood donation from members of the public for victims of Tuesday’s bomb blast in Zaria, Kaduna State.
NEMA’s director general, Sani Sidi, said the request is urgent for the survival of the victims, according to a statement issued by the agency’s spokesperson, Ezekiel Manzo.

Sidi also commended the prompt response of sympathisers in evacuating the victims to the hospital and assured that NEMA would immediately make drugs and other consumables available.
The attack, earlier in the day, at a local government secretariat, left 26 people dead and 33 injured.
