Three days after he was arrested and detained by the police, Audu Maokori, the man who posted what turned out to be fake news on Southern Kaduna crisis, was on Monday arraigned at a Magistrate court in Kaduna.
Maikori was first arrested in Lagos on February 17 and later released for claiming via the social media that five students of the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan-Waya, were killed in an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has made a passionate appeal to the religious and community leaders in Southern Kaduna, urging them to give peace a chance in their communities.
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has attributed the continued killings in Southern Kaduna to the failure of security agencies to arrest and bring to book those responsible for the killings.
