We are on the trail of terrorists that killed six in Katsina community – Police

THE Kastina State Police Command has said it is on the trail of terrorists that killed six people during an attack on Ruwangodiya, a community in Faskari Local Government Area of the state.

The police confirmed that the terrorists killed six people and injured six others during the attack on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports say the terrorists stormed the town around 1:30 pm and started shooting indiscriminately.

The terrorists were also said to have succeeded in rustling some domestic animals.

Speaking to The ICIR on Wednesday, spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command Gambo Isah confirmed the incident.

He added that operatives of the Command are going after the terrorists.




     

     

    “Yes, it is true; it happened. The terrorists struck around 1:30 pm and killed six people while six others were injured.

    “Those injured have been evacuated to hospitals for treatment. Our operatives are already on the ground there.

    “By the time our men got there, the terrorist have already run into the bush. We are on their trail. We are making efforts to arrest them,” Gambo said.

    Kastina and other states in the North-West region have been under attack from terrorists and bandits in the past few years.
