Abide by party rules- Buhari charges APC aspirants

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has charged aspirants vying for the presidential mandate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to stand by the party’s rules.

Buhari charged them to follow due process and show sportsmanship while vying for votes from delegate.

The president who spoke at the Eagles Square in Abuja on June 8, 2022 said, ” Everyone should abide by the rules. There is bound to be winners and runners up. I urged you to show good sportsmanship.”

He assured the party of his support to not hesitate to call on him for help. He charged the aspirants to work ok the best interest of the party.

Meanwhile, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, said he would be ready to provide quality leadership for Nigeria from his first day in office if elected president.




     

     

    He stated this while addressing delegates at the party’s presidential primary in Abuja Tuesday.

    Unlike other aspirants in the South-West except for Pastor Tunde Bakare, who stepped down for the party’s national leader, Bola Tinubu, Osinbajo said he remained in the race.

    However, the immediate past Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu and the former Senate President Ken Nnamani, also expressed worry about efforts to distort justice at the ongoing political primary.
