The State Police spokesperson Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident.

She, however, said it was a robbery case.

Odunlami added that operatives of the Command were already on the trail of the perpetrators

This is coming three days after 40 worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, also in Ondo State, were killed by suspected terrorists during mass on Sunday.

The Federal Government on Thursday said a terrorist group, the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP), was responsible for the attack.

Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola announced that the terror group was behind the attack while briefing journalists after a meeting of the National Security Council at the State House in Abuja.
