In continued efforts to end the menace of terrorism and recover captured communities in the North East from insurgents, Nigerian troops have cleared five more terrorists camps, killing two Boko Haram members in Borno State.
The troops of 5 Brigade Task Group, who intensified their raid on the insurgents, destroyed the terrorists camps at Hausari and Baranga in Marte local government area of Borno State.
Aside the killed terrorists, the troops recovered two dane guns, a double barrel gun and destroyed 12 motorcycles which were left behind by some fleeing terrorists.
At one of the camps, a suspected female member of the terrorist group was captured and is currently undergoing interrogation.
The troops of 5 Brigade had some time last month cleared and destroyed twenty terrorists camps at Kerenowa general area, killing five terrorists.
Meanwhile, troops of 28 Task Force Brigade on patrol between Bitta – Yamteke in Borno State to stop fleeing Boko Haram terrorists to the Sambisa Forest discovered two planted Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, which they detonated successfully.
The acting director, Public Relations of the Nigerian Army, Sani Kukasheka Usman, a Colonel, assured that the troops remain dedicated to the course to clearing the camps of Boko Haram terrorists and recovering the all communities in their hands
