The girls were handed over to the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, on Tuesday by the Department of State Services, DSS at the Women Development Centre, Abuja, where a facility has been prepared for them.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said the girls were received by the chief of staff to President Buhari, Abba Kari at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The commendation came after the government, through Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, confirmed the release of the girls which it said was as a result of combined efforts among security agencies, the military, the government of Switzerland, the Red Cross, local and international NGOs.
