ECOWAS Court Rejects FG’s Move To Stop Kanu’s Suit

The court of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, sitting in Abuja, has rejected an application filed by the federal government seeking to strike out a suit filed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Court Strikes Out Charges Against Nnamdi Kanu

Less than 24 hours after a group of Igbo intellectuals called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has struck out six of the eleven-count charges brought against him by the federal government.

Kanu Alleges DSS Murdered His Visitors

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, resumed on Tuesday and during the hearing, Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, told the court that the Department of State Services, DSS, were responsible for the death of some people who had visited the Biafran activist in prison.
