THERE was a mild pandemonium at the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election at Eagle square in Abuja when the smell of teargas filled the air.
The party’s special convention slated for June 6, 7 and 8 kicked off yesterday, Monday.
The party’s flagbearer is expected to emerge today, the second day or in the early hours of the third day.

The disruption occurred around 3 pm when some delegates from Bayelsa and Kogi states arrived and were making their entrance into the venue.
Security operatives, journalists, and other people around the venue struggled to wear their face masks while the ones without face masks covered their noses with the sleeves of their clothes to avoid inhaling the gas.
As of the time of filing this report, The ICIR has not independently verified who shot the teargas, however, normalcy has begun to return.
